I've been a software engineer for over 30 years and I still love every minute of it.
I've always been drawn to startups and small companies, where I can make a big impact by solving problems and building new things.
I started programming on an Apple II that my dad bought (after I convinced him that the Radio Shack TRS-80 was not the way to go - if I recall I said it was TRaSh).
I pursed a music career in NYC but kept spending way too much time writing programs on my Macintosh. Finally I decided to fully embrace my love of programming and spent a year doing almost nothing but teaching myself programming, using Turbo Pascal and C.
I got my first job at a startup in Brooklyn called Muze, where I was the 2nd engineer. It was there that I learned to love the startup life and the thrill of building something from nothing.
I live in NJ, close to NYC and Philly. I like to go fishing, and play board games when not coding.
